The Messenger: Retirement Edition
This month’s newsletter is focused on those who are thinking about retiring, or are already retired.
Philippians 2:3-4
Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others. The word “retire” appears only once in the Bible in Numbers 8:23-26. The context is a wonderful message about mentorship and helping others from all of the experience that one has gained during the working years. We believe retirement planning is not just about quitting a job, but starting another life that, for the Christian, revolves around helping and serving others. This includes volunteering with their church, mission work, and helping other non profit organizations like Habitat for Humanity, a food bank, or a crisis center, plus mentoring the following generations of their family.
Along with these things, retirement is also about enjoying what you didn’t have time for while working, like traveling the world, taking up hobbies, outdoor activities, etc. Christian Financial Advisors® wants to help you enjoy a successful retirement. This newsletter will give you information and tools to help make this possible.
