What We Believe

WE believe Christians should invest with, not against, the values outlined in the Bible.

James 1:22-25, Matthew 6:24

James 1:22-25: “But prove yourselves doers of the word, and not merely hearers who delude themselves. For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man who looks at his natural face in a mirror; for once he has looked at himself and gone away, he has immediately forgotten what kind of person he was.”1

Matthew 6:24: “No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and wealth.”

1 Timothy 3:1-3: “It is a trustworthy statement: if any man aspires to the office of overseer, it is a fine work he desires to do. An overseer, then, must be above reproach, the husband of one wife, temperate, prudent, respectable, hospitable, able to teach, not addicted to wine or pugnacious, but gentle, peaceable, free from the love of money.”

WE believe God owns everything, which includes our bank accounts(s), savings, IRAs, 401k’s, stocks, bonds, annuities, CDs, etc.

Psalm 24:1 & 50:10; Haggai 2:8

Psalm 24:1: “The earth is the Lord’s, and [a]all it contains, The world, and those who live in it”.

Psalm 50:10: “For every animal of the forest is Mine, The cattle on a thousand hills”.

Haggai 2:8: “The silver is Mine and the gold is Mine,’ declares the Lord of armies”.

WE believe every Christian should be a good steward of what God has entrusted to them, including their money, talent, and time.

Luke 16: 10-12, 1 Corinthians 4:2, 1 Peter 4:10, Colossians 3:23, Genesis 1:28

Luke 16:10-12: “The one who is faithful in a very little thing is also faithful in much; and the one who is unrighteous in a very little thing is also unrighteous in much. Therefore if you have not [a]been faithful in the use of unrighteous [b]wealth, who will entrust the true wealth to you? And if you have not [c]been faithful in the use of that.”

1 Corinthians 4:2: “In this case, moreover, it is required of stewards that one be found trustworthy.”

1 Peter 4:10: “As each one has received a special gift, employ it in serving one another as good stewards of the [a]multifaceted grace of God.”

Colossians 3:23: “Whatever you do, do your work heartily, as for the Lord and not for people.”

Genesis 1:28: “God blessed them; and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth, and subdue it; and rule over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the sky and over every living thing that [a]moves on the earth.”

WE believe how you invest as a Christian is just as important as why you invest.

2 Corinthians 6:14-18, Proverbs 13:11, 2 Corinthians 5:10

2 Corinthians 6:14-18: “Do not be mismatched with unbelievers; for what do righteousness and lawlessness share together, or what does light have in common with darkness? Or what harmony does Christ have with Belial, or what does a believer share with an unbeliever? Or what agreement does the temple of God have with idols? For we are the temple of the living God; just as God said, ‘I will dwell among them and walk among them; And I will be their God, and they shall be My people. Therefore, come out from their midst and be separate,’ says the Lord. ‘And do not touch what is unclean; And I will welcome you. And I will be a father to you, And you shall be sons and daughters to Me,’ Says the Lord Almighty”

Proverbs 13:11: “Wealth obtained from nothing dwindles, But one who gathers by labor increases it”.

2 Corinthians 5:10: “For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each one may be recompensed for his deeds in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad.”.

WE believe financial advisors should be fiduciaries, acting in the best interest of their clients at all times.

Philippians 2:3-5, 1 Timothy 3:1-3

Philippians 2:3-5: “Do nothing from selfishness or empty conceit, but with humility consider one another as more important than yourselves; do not merely look out for your own personal interests, but also for the interests of others. Have this attitude in yourselves which was also in Christ Jesus.”

WE believe in absolute truth based on God’s word, and it does not change based on public opinion or cultural shifts in our society. Truth is not relative.

John 14:16-17, Proverbs 12:17-19, John 3:21, John 8:32, John 14:6, 1 Corinthians 13:6, Ephesians 6:14

John 14:16-17: “I will ask the Father, and He will give you another [g]Helper, so that He may be with you forever; the Helper is the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it does not see Him or know Him; but you know Him because He remains with you and will be in you”.

Proverbs 12:17-19: “One who declares truth tells what is right, But a false witness, deceit. There is one who speaks rashly like the thrusts of a sword, But the tongue of the wise brings healing. Truthful lips will endure forever, But a lying tongue is only for a moment”.

John 3:21: “But the one who practices the truth comes to the Light, so that his deeds will be revealed [a]as having been performed in God”.

John 8:32: “and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free”.

John 14:6: “Jesus *said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father except through Me”.

1 Corinthians 13:6: “it does not rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth”.

Ephesians 6:14: “Stand firm therefore, having belted your waist with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness”.

WE believe if you stand for nothing, you’ll fall for anything. Therefore as Christians, it is our obligation and duty to stand for truth so we won’t fall for the lies of the world.

Ephesians 6:13-17, 1 Corinthians 16:13, Matthew 7:24-26, Romans 1:25

Ephesians 6:13-17: “Therefore, take up (A)the full armor of God, so that you will be able to (B)resist on (C)the evil day, and having done everything, to stand firm. Stand firm therefore, (D)having belted your waist with truth, and having (E)put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having (F)strapped on your feet the preparation of the gospel of peace; in addition to all, taking up the (G)shield of faith with which you will be able to extinguish all the (H)flaming arrows of (I)the evil one. And take (J)the helmet of salvation and the (K)sword of the Spirit, which is (L)the word of God”.

1 Corinthians 16:13: “Be on the alert, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong”.

Matthew 7:24-26: “Therefore, everyone who hears these words of Mine, and [a]acts on them, will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock. And the rain fell and the [b]floods came, and the winds blew and slammed against that house; and yet it did not fall, for it had been founded on the rock”.

Romans 1:25: “For they exchanged the truth of God for [a]a 1lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, 2who is blessed [b]forever. Amen”.

WE believe there are seven gates of influence: Counsel, Judicial and Moral law, Social Services, Education, Government, Finance, and Arts and Entertainment. Our goal is to change the financial culture of America by promoting Biblically Responsible Investing, Banking, Insurance, and Stewardship Education.

Ephesians 5:11; Titus 3:8; James 4:17

Ephesians 5:11: “Do not participate in the unfruitful deeds of darkness, but instead even expose them.”

Titus 3:8: “This is a trustworthy statement; and concerning these things I want you to speak confidently, so that those who have believed God will be careful to engage in good deeds. These things are good and profitable for men.”

James 4:17: “Therefore, to one who knows the right thing to do and does not do it, to him it is sin.”

WE believe every Christian should tithe and give according to biblical guidelines as outlined in the Bible.

Leviticus 27:30; Malachi 3:8-12; Matthew 6:19-21

Leviticus 27:30: “Thus all the tithe of the land, of the seed of the land or of the fruit of the tree, is the LORD’S; it is holy to the LORD.”

Malachi 3:8-12: “Will a man rob God? Yet you are robbing Me! But you say, ‘How have we robbed You?’ In tithes and offerings. You are cursed with a curse, for you are robbing Me, the whole nation of you! Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, so that there may be food in My house, and test Me now in this,” says the LORD of hosts, “if I will not open for you the windows of heaven and pour out for you a blessing until it overflows. Then I will rebuke the devourer for you, so that it will not destroy the fruits of the ground; nor will your vine in the field cast its grapes,” says the LORD of hosts. “All the nations will call you blessed, for you shall be a delightful land,” says the LORD of hosts.

Matthew 6:19-21: “Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys, and where thieves do not break in or steal; for where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.”

WE believe the Bible is the inspired, only infallible, authoritative Word of God.

Psalm 119:89; Timothy 3:15-17;1 Thessalonians 2:13

Psalm 119:89: “Forever, O LORD, Your word is settled in heaven.”

2 Timothy 3:15-17: “and that from childhood you have known the sacred writings which are able to give you the wisdom that leads to salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; so that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work.”

1 Thessalonians 2:13: “For this reason we also constantly thank God that when you received the word of God which you heard from us, you accepted it not as the word of men, but for what it really is, the word of God, which also performs its work in you who believe.”

WE believe there is one God, eternally existent in three Persons: Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit.

Matthew 3:14-17; Romans 8:1-15; Isaiah 7:14

Matthew 3:14-17: “But John tried to prevent Him, saying, ‘I have need to be baptized by You, and do You come to me?’ But Jesus answering said to him, ‘Permit it at this time; for in this way it is fitting for us to fulfill all righteousness.’ Then he *permitted Him. After being baptized, Jesus came up immediately from the water; and behold, the heavens were opened, and he saw the Spirit of God descending as a dove and lighting on Him, and behold, a voice out of the heavens said, ‘This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well-pleased.'”

Romans 8:1-15: “Therefore there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and of death. For what the Law could not do, weak as it was through the flesh, God did: sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and as an offering for sin, He condemned sin in the flesh, so that the requirement of the Law might be fulfilled in us, who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit. For those who are according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who are according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit. For the mind set on the flesh is death, but the mind set on the Spirit is life and peace, because the mind set on the flesh is hostile toward God; for it does not subject itself to the law of God, for it is not even able to do so, and those who are in the flesh cannot please God. However, you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. But if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Him. If Christ is in you, though the body is dead because of sin, yet the spirit is alive because of righteousness. But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you. So then, brethren, we are under obligation, not to the flesh, to live according to the flesh—for if you are living according to the flesh, you must die; but if by the Spirit you are putting to death the deeds of the body, you will live. For all who are being led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God. For you have not received a spirit of slavery leading to fear again, but you have received a spirit of adoption as sons by which we cry out, ‘Abba! Father!'”

Isaiah 7:14: “Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign: Behold, a virgin will be with child and bear a son, and she will call His name Immanuel.”

WE believe a person must repent of his sin and by faith, receive and trust in the person and provision of Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior to spend eternity in Heaven.

Ephesians 2:8-9; Romans 10:9,10,& 13; H; Matthew 16:26

Ephesians 2:8-9: “For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, so that no one may boast.”

Romans 10:9-10: “that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved; for with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation.”

Romans 10:13: “For ‘WHOEVER WILL CALL ON THE NAME OF THE LORD WILL BE SAVED.'”

Matthew 16:26: “For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world and forfeits his soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul?”
