The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it,
the world, and all who live in it.

— Psalm 24:1

Make a list of 10 things you and/or we as a people, own or control. It’s ok to repeat some or all of the above, but also make this personal to you as well.

What are the roles and responsibilities of a manager?

Examples: Think about at a resort, a golf course, a sports team, a property manager, a business manager, a restaurant etc.

What are the roles and responsibilities of the owner?

According to Psalm 24:1 who is the owner of everything on earth?

Read Matthew 25:14-30 about the parable of the Talents.

What did the person who got the five talents do with them? The one who got the three talents? The one who got the one talent?

According to Matthew 25:14 what did the owner do?

According to Matthew 25:15 what did the owner already know about his servants based on their past history?

Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much, and whoever is dishonest with very little will also be dishonest with much.

— Luke 16:10

According to Luke 16:10 if the manager does a good job for the owner, what could happen?

Should we be surprised when the owner (God) allows for his managers (us) to have more or less control of HIS possessions and what HE owns, which is everything?

Conclusion

What have you learned from this viewpoint and how does it change your viewpoint about everything?
